Counselling and CBT

Counselling and CBTI am extremely passionate about my work as a counsellor. I feel privileged to be able to help others through difficult times in their lives.

When you are experiencing problems, life can feel a real struggle, working through these problems in counselling you can build your self awareness and in turn develop your understanding of how to become more empowered.

What is Counselling?
It can feel daunting contacting a counsellor, not knowing what to expect, what to say or where to start. The benefit of counselling is that you are able to start wherever you want to. The session content is completely within your control and you are never asked to disclose any information you do not want to. I offer a non judgement, safe and empathic space for you to offload and work through any issues that you feel are holding you back and preventing you from living a fulfilled life.

What can Counselling help with?
Counselling can help you to work through any issues that are impacting your daily live. Having the space and time to offload can allow you to see things more clearly. It can also allow you the time to work through and let go of things that are holding you back.

What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It teaches you alternative coping strategies and tasks are agreed and set in sessions and as part of the therapy you continue to implement these new techniques outside of the sessions. It is a more structured form of therapy.

What can CBT help with?
As with Counselling CBT can help with a wide range of issues, predominately Depression and Anxiety. It is always dependent on the individual as to what therapy works best.

My Experience
I have over 4 years of experience working with a wide range of issues with both adults and adolescents.
These include :- Anxiety, Body Confidence, Self Esteem, Self Harm, Physical and Sexual Abuse and Relationship Issues.

How long is a session?
Initial session is 60-90 minutes
Sessions are 60 minutes
